March 9th   1pm - 3.30pm. 
Creative Monoprinting - £35

Using our small portable presses we will explore the possibilities of monoprinting in this two and a half hour workshop. 
This is a simple and versatile printmaking technique with endless opportunities for creative outcomes.
Using a 12 x12 cm perspex plate we will use mark making and stencils and layering to achieve beautiful prints based on a theme of your choosing. 
You will leave the workshop with a series of prints to take home.

Sunday April 13th  1pm - 3.30pm

Guided Drawing at The Museum £35

During this afternoon workshop, artist Sarah Humby will guide you through a series of simple drawing excercises as we take a look around the artifacts in the fascinating Red House Museum. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners though to experienced artists. It is never too late to start drawing!

All materials and equipment are provided and you will take all your drawings home with you. We will be using dry materials such as graphite and charcoal

Sunday May 11th  1pm - 3.30pm

Printmaking without a press - Still life.  £35

During this session we will look at the most basic forms of printmaking without a press, using a still life set up as our inspiration. 

We will learn how to achieve depth and interest in our prints by using direct drawign, stencilling and collaging elements. 

This is an experimental and playful session for exploring the world of printmaking, suitable for beginners and those with a little experience who would like to 'loosen' up their process.

Sunday June 8th  1pm - 3.30pm

Experimenting with watercolours in the museum gardens.  £35

The Red House Museum Gardens is our venue for this workshop where artist Sarah Humby will guide you through a series of excersices to loosen up your markmaking and painting. We will be concentrating on watercolour as our medium but we will employ elements such as wax resist and coloured pencils to create interest and depth.  This workshop is suitable for beginners. All materials and equiment provided

Sunday July 13th  1pm - 3.30pm

Panoramic Concertina Books. £35

This is a fun and experimental way of creating long form panoramic 3 dimensional art works using any and every method or materials you like.  We will spend the afternoon decorating both sides of a long stretch of heavy cartridge paper which, at the end of the session will be scored and folded into a 'book' format.  Suitable for beginners. all materials and inspritation provided.
