One Day Christmas Card Workshop

Morning session:

During the first part of the morning we will give a short demonstration of different methods of creating prints to use on our Christmas cards in conjunction with some collaging and embellishment with foils and glitter.

We will use craft foam to create stamps which we will ink up to use to create festive themed designs such as christmas trees, baubles and snowflakes.

For the rest of the morning we will experiment and play with these techniques as we start to predict outcomes and build up a body of prints.
30 minute lunch break approx 12.30 - 1pm.
Afternoon session.

During the afternoon we will create an edition of around 8-12 cards to take home and send to family and friends for Christmas.

The nature of this workshop means that there is a lot of experimenting and happy accidents. This workshop is perfect for loosening up our creative brains and producing art through experiment and play. Most of the prints achieved will be rather more abstract than those made in more formal workshops such as linocut etc.
